My name is Jack D. Larsen, published dark fiction writer and founder of A Macabre Cabal.
The aim of the site is to highlight writers of dark fiction of varying kinds from around the world; to have an ongoing database where these men and women are celebrated and where their work can be shared.
There is an endless sea of fiction to sift through, and it is easy for good work to get lost in the shuffle. Very few writers will ever get their "fifteen minutes", but I hope to provide a place that offers some small token of free promotion for those writers to share and add as part of their portfolio.
I am an avid reader, and have been since I was young. I grew up on Stephen King novels, horror movies, and have always been drawn to the seedy underbelly of creativity found in dark fiction. I love to read new and original material. A Macabre Cabal is a mutually beneficial relationship; I promise to continue to provide feedback to authors, reviews, and spotlights and in return, all I ask is that they share their work with me.
If you think your own writing deserves to be seen and you have published a novel, short story, or poem that is well crafted and would like to be featured on the site, please contact me via email at [email protected]
